3 Fantasy Series with Throne of Glass Vibes
You’ve finished Throne of Glass and your heart hasn’t quite recovered from the resulting heartbreak. You now have a standard set when it comes to a fantasy series and everything will be judged against it. Nothing can take the place of Throne of Glass, but I want to share a couple series I’ve read that give TOG vibes. These books are similar in that they feature a strong female main character, magic, prophecies, found family, lost heirs, tension, romance, and training scenes.
My hope is that these recommendations will leave you with the same feeling you had while reading Throne of Glass. You will fall in love with these amazing characters and the worlds these authors have created! Get ready because you are about to have a new fantasy obsession!
*All of these series are available on Kindle Unlimited
1. Daughter of No Worlds – Carissa Broadbent
“My name is Tisaanah. I am a free woman and yet still a slave. I am fragments of many things but a whole of only myself. I am a daughter of no worlds, and all worlds. And I am not done yet.”
Carissa Boradbent is an auto read author for me, and if the Serpent and The Wings of Night didn’t solidify that…this series certainly would have! There’s dark magic, an incredibly strong FMC, a fight for justice, a reclusive warrior, and a swoon worthy romance. I truly don’t understand how this series isn’t more popular! It’s absolutely addicting.
2. Blood and Steel (The Legends of Thezmarr) – Helen Scheuerer
“A true man won’t cut you down as you fight your battles, nor will he fight them for you. A true man will help sharpen your sword, guard your back and fight at your side, in the face of whatever darkness comes.”
I started this book on my kindle and made it about 60 pages before I decided I had to have the physical copy. Not only did I buy the first book, but I bought the second and third, and then preordered the fourth. That’s how confident I was that this story was going to be something special. I just love being right!
3. Spark of The Everflame – Penn Cole
“You think I fear my own death?” he whispered in my ear. “Every day I draw breath is as much a curse as a gift. I’ve been living on borrowed time for longer than you can imagine. If you’re the way my fate finally catches up to me, I can’t fathom a more beautiful end.”
This is the slow burn, enemies-to-lovers series of your dreams. It has magic, tension, banter, magic, and dragons. The FMC is feisty and headstrong and the prince is the handsome brooding type. My favorite! The ending of this book will leave you with no other choice than to grab the next one and devour that too! I will forever recommend this series to anyone who will listen!
